How do you generate a QR Code?
A QR Code generator is a type of product that generates magnetic codes, also known as 2D barcodes, in either digital or physical formats.
QR codes use short sequences of alternating dark and light patterns to encode (or “write”) information and are read using dedicated QR code scanners. It is an efficient way to store data you wish to share such as locations of buildings, routes for a map app, contact details for your business website, sale prices, etc. Some complicated machines like self-driving cars use these symbols as well to smooth movement.
How to scan a QR Code?
Depending on your device, you might already have a built-in QR Code reader or scanner. However, depending on the app your device uses, it might not be using your camera at all (for example with an iPhone) and you’ll need to switch shooting modes. Use the camera app’s settings to scan a QR Code instead. If your current app isn’t working, try installing your third-party QR code readers from either Google Play or the App Store!

This article is really helpful as I was searching for the QR Code generator, I am surely going to use these QR codes. Also recently I found one QR code generator – https://dynamic-qrcodegenerator.com/ that also worked for me. Will check all of these and select one that is more user firendly.
Thanks for the helpful blog.
I loved your blog post about QR codes and the many different uses they have! They’re a versatile way to get in touch with your customers. I especially love your post on the different WooCommerce coupon plugins. I have a few of their plugins and they’re quite handy. I also really enjoyed your post on the different Magento 2 themes. I love them and use them on my own site. Thank you for your insightful blog post!

where to create Visual QR code?
The below site is totally free to use with no limits
https://www.the-qrcode-generator.com/
Thanks for your suggestion!
thanks. Is it free and unlimited for dynamic Codes too?
I am sure, you can try with https://forqrcode.com
Thank you!
Though a great tool, Forqrcode.com has no dynamic feature
Hi Lester,
Thanks for your feedback. I will send it to the author and hope this function will be available soon.
This article needs an update. QR-code-generator.com is not free. The QR’s stop working after 14 days and you need to pay to keep using them.
Hi Zeed, Thanks for your feedback. It has been us updated the lowest priority position on the list. It is still a free tool, however, it will be limited. You can try https://forqrcode.com/, it never limited.
Thank you!
Thanks for this..
qr-code-generator.com isn’t free; they contact you after a couple of weeks and say pay or the code won’t work. Highly annoying when you’ve already started to publish the code in advertising.
Robin
Hi,
beware of qr-code-genrator.com – seems to be a sca; they trap you in auto renew and then send collection agencies after you.
Hi Angel, Thanks for your feedback. It has been us updated the lowest priority position on the list. It is still a free tool, however, it will be limited. You can try https://forqrcode.com/, it never limited.
Thank you!
QR Code Generator is garbage. They operate using completely unethical business practices. They give you the QR code, don’t tell you it’s a trial, and then tell you it will be $70 to keep operating the code. It’s a complete bait and switch and caused a huge headache for me. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
I am looking for a qr code generator that will open up a Facebook page on the Facebook app with fallback to the page on Facebook.com
Do you know a company that does that?
Hi Tommy,
Which websites do not limit the maximum number of QR code scans?
Thank you!
Hi Laughlin,
Please use the website for download by static formats like SVG, ESP and PNG: ForqrCode.com, QRZebra or QR-Code-Generator.com.
Thank you!
Thanks for your list.
I vote for ForQRCode.com, It is rightly free and has many powerful features (Include logo, SVG download)…
Hi ChannM,
Thanks for your feedback. We are always up to date and changing the QR Code Generator Tools live time.
Enjoy!
To make it perfect, there´d be a dynamic code too.
Can you Recommend a QR generator that could contain images for FREE? Thanks!
Hi Jean,
With Forqrcode or QRZebra you can easily upload your image and include to the QRCode.
Thank you, very useful.
Ok soooo what now?
You could also mention MyQRad (https://www.myqrad.com). Has free subscriptions as well as paid. But, has a feature that none of the others has: tracking and analytics!
What about https://www.qrtag.net ?
Feel free to check our Qr Code Maker App which allows you to to create smart and dynamic qr code labels with the ability to detect the scans and to edit the labels after the creation. @https://qrcode.plus
Yes surely!
I tried securing a 3-month set period *trial* service of QRStuff.com. I twice received a payment rejection error message (on a corporate card), yet received an email that I had created an account and that upon payment my 3-month “subscription” will auto-renew. QRStuff seems to operate by shady business practices, so I would remove them from this list to separate the Designs Maz brand from theirs and your name from theirs.
Thanks, Tommy. I just walked away from a lame experience with Scanova. The payment process (the Biz Dev Dir. had to *manually* do it), auto-pay as default method (pipeline yer digits), QR code generation process (janky), tracking (metrics tracked clicks, not loads; 2 loads of 14 attempts = poor functionality), and customer service were really something else. Yours is the second article citing QRStuff. Giving it a deeper look. Thanks for doing the research and posting!
